Please join us in celebrating Women’s History Month with D&H Canal expert, Bill Merchant. Bill has been with he D&H Canal Historical Society for over 15years. He previously served as President of the board, and is now the Deputy Director for Collections, Historian, and Curator. He also serves as President of the Delaware and Hudson Transportation Heritage Council, and is Chair of the Marbletown Historic Preservation Commission. Bill has been engaged by the National Park Service to update the National Historic Register listing for the D&H Canal and Gravity Railroad. In December of 2025, he was selected to serve on Ulster County’s Arts & Culture Advisory Council. His passion for the canal makes every lecture he gives riveting and entertaining.
