The only way we generally think of animals getting energy from the sun is via the food web. However, some animals cut out the middleman and conduct photosynthesis within their bodies. Come learn about some lovable weirdos, including a salamander native to our woods that helps its eggs breathe in stagnant pools by teaming up with green algae.
