Solstice Paddle with Richard Mandelbaum

Join MEEC and Richard Mandelbaum, RH, as we celebrate Summer Solstice with a paddle through the Bashakill wetlands. Richard will teach us to identify aquatic plant life. If you've been to any of his classes before, you know that Richard is a talented teacher. He knows how to take the stress out of identifying plants and make it fun!

Richard is founder, former director, and core faculty of the ArborVitae School of Traditional Herbalism and faculty at David Winston's Center for Herbal Studies.

Boat Launch is directly across from Bashakill Vineyards on South Road in Wurtsboro.

If you don't have a kayak but want to join, feel free to stop by MEEC on your way to the boat launch to rent a kayak from our new rental kiosk. You just need to download the app. Kayak comes with everything you need to transport the kayak on your car and take it out onto the water.
